The Self-discovery expedition is not an easy ride. It comprises of the steepest, hardest, and darkest of paths, yet it is the most rewarding and profound adventure. It is always hidden right before our eyes… You are with yourself throughout your entire existence.
All you need to do is turn your vision inwards… In the beginning, it can feel as if there is no path and you need to create it yourself. At some point, however, through confirmations, revelations, and especially through communicating with yourself and the world outside, you begin to see that the path is where it has always been.
Suddenly, all of your past moments, especially the hardest ones to comprehend, start to make sense and confirm your current state. You start to discover yourself, let go of issues within you, and break down walls you were never aware, that were there in the first place. Most people don’t dare to look at what is underneath the mere appearance and are scared to fall in the rabbit hole inside of them.
Most look for answers outside of themselves. They follow someone else’s path, compare, and even compete with others… In most cases, this is a complete waste of energy and time, and leads to a dead-end street… A spark needs to ignite in order to get you to this turning point of sinking into the feeling of self-awareness and inner-completeness… The first curtain lifts and the final act starts: getting in the commotion that is leading you to the perpetual unveiling of one curtain after another… Going through the motions is simply inevitable… It takes courage and humility to communicate with yourself with complete honesty and to communicate with reality in the same manner.
If you don’t know how to get to this point yet, don’t give up or stop moving. On the contrary, it is all about getting on this ride by all means possible. It is about accepting that it is your own way and it is completely unique. Of course, it can be influenced or helped by others, but it is always your path that matters the most. Many lose themselves on the way: by the influence of others, by becoming addicted, attached, or lost in someone else’s path. There are countless forms of addictions. One of the main purposes of this little project is to help people recognize what is theirs and let go of what isn’t. It puts the emphasis on freedom through compassion, empathy, and understanding of one’s own uniqueness, passion, and Self-discovery. One of the basic things one will find, on this fascinating journey, ‘The Path Within’, is the feeling and complete awareness of his/her own uniqueness.
Yes, there is a unique perception within you, because no one else can experience what you experience the way you do and no one else can contemplate on it the way you can. No one else can derive the essence of your unique experiences but you and you alone. Therefore, your perception is unrepeatable, your experiences are incomparable, your essence of you and your True-self is irreplaceable, and your self-worth is priceless… Today society teaches us that we are replaceable, dispensable and basically a fruit fly in the system. Society creates replaceable jobs and values only busy, buzzing urban hives that are comprised of multilayered stress activators…
People lose their true meaning and they become money-making machines. They feel replaceable, dull, and meaningless while they are completely suppressing the cry of their individuality, which can only be found through digging deeper and deeper inside, beneath the layers of what we’ve been told we should be. Every spiritual journey magically creates a path within and restores a different part of the inner sight that is meant to recognize the real you…
The ancient aphorism “Know thyself”, inscribed on the entrance of The Temple of Apollo in Delphi, remains to this day one of the most inspirational postulates. It urges us to discover our True-Self, beneath the layers of endless false images we co-create of ourselves, through the way others perceive us and the way we want to be perceived… The feeling of grasping one’s true nature is indescribable. Words can’t do justice to this profoundness that softly starts with a peculiar tingling, a bristling vibration, bringing out unknown angst from deep within, which grows into a thirst for freedom that the soul strives to satisfy… But knowing ourselves gets us only so far… We can go even deeper, for there is also Knowing what to do with ourselves. We can’t stop only half-way through the process of knowing our nature, we also embark on the journey of the true purpose… Beyond which may lie the focal point of our quest.
We are longing secretly for that one final rest when everything is finally known and nothing else is needed. So let’s get on this amazing ever-impending journey of self-discovery together and find out who we are, what we are really made of, and what is our true purpose…
