As morning dawns
and I wake up,
I must decide what mask to wear
.
To blend and fit, I put on make up,
There’s no truth, there’s only dare.
I go outside and take a look,
At the world of crooked mirrors.
How we dangle on a hook,
Feed the villains and the heroes.
But I’m more than just alright,
I have my house of purest glass.
And as I sink, embraced by night,
There I finally rest alas…
Without rooftops and goodbyes
Clearest mind and endless sky,
My soul is free to soar and fly.
No name, no face, eternal space.
My private haven, my safest place.
